Ibrahimovic's contract expires at the end of the season, with the 34-year-old in demand globally.
"I do not know what will happen, but I’m sure we will invest money. From what I understand, we can bring in big players from Europe and could even spend [money] on Ibrahimovic," Petrescu said via Digisport.ro.
"I do not know too much, though, because the new company will take over the club from January 1.
“It would be excellent if Ibrahimovic could come to China, but I do not know if he is in the mood for it."
Ibrahimovic has plundered 117 goals and provided 49 assists in 146 appearances for PSG since his arrival from AC Milan in 2012.
The Swede has netted 10 times in 11 Ligue One games this season.
