Bevan Fransman leaves TS Galaxy

Fransman made 22 appearances while scoring twice as he captained Galaxy through parts of the 2020/21 season, in which they ended up losing out on a top eight finish on the last day.

Steve Kapeluschnik, his representative confirms that the towering defender is now out of contract at The Rockets.

"He had a fantastic season with Galaxy, and we are now speaking to different clubs about him. For now, we don't have anything finalised yet, but he is available, and we will take this day by day. His contract expired and he is a free agent looking for the next good project and we just have to see what comes his way," says Kapeluschnik.

Fransman has so far enjoyed a career stretching over 20 years, having broken into the PSL with Mother City as far back as the 1999/2000 season.

Since then, he has played for FC Fortune, Kaizer Chiefs, Moroka Swallows, SuperSport United, Bloemfontein Celtic, Maritzburg United, Highlands Park and TS Galaxy while also playing in Belgium and Israel. He has also won caps at both Under-23 and the senior team.

Fransman is keen to continue playing despite turning 38 in October.

On Thursday, fellow veteran Reneilwe Letsholonyane announced his retirement from the game straight after leaving TS Galaxy.
