Magesi FC and Royal AM shared the spoils in a tense goalless draw in the Betway Premiership on Saturday evening.
After securing their first win of the season, Magesi continued to bank of veterans like Elvis Chipezeze, Kgaogelo Sekgota and Deolin Mekoa who all started as Thabo Matlaba picked out the eleven of the visitors.
The new boys had a good chance earlier on from the head of Lehlogonolo Mokone after meeting Deolin Mekoa's cross, but the net didn't rattle.
Royal got opportunities of their own within the space of minutes as Smiso Gumede steered a cutback from close-range wide of the mark.
Having scored the winner in midweek at Golden Arrows, the promising week seemed to continue for a certain Wonderboy Makhubu when he had a chance from Abrahams' ball but failed to profit.
Makhubu continued to push the visiting team late in the half and snapped another inviting chance from a decent angle wide of the goal of Xolani Ngcobo.
Royal AM were close to taking the lead on the stroke of halftime through Motebang Sera from a good cross, but the Lesotho international unfortunately fluffed his lines with the goal in sight.
Although, as the first half proved enterprising with chances on both ends – the start to the second stanza weren't on the same level.
There were a large portion of possession either end, but putting the opposite numbers to work and playing the decisive ball proved a great difficulty.
With former Kaizer Chiefs man Sekgota now in the colours of Magesi – he was removed in the last 20 minutes for Kayden Rademeyer before Maloisane Mokhele came on for Tlou Masegela.
Royal got chances to seal the maximum points late on with a header from Sera following a delivery, but he couldn't rattle the gloves of Chipezeze.
In the end, both sides walked away with a point each after neither managed to find the winner during the course of proceeding as Royal remained winless.
