Bafana midfielder Mandla Masango pushing for Randers FC exit

The Bafana Bafana international winger stopped attending training and was not injured, according to Randers sporting director Ole Nielsen.

The club said on their website the player had “not felt ready to participate in daily training in the last few days”.

Masango’s agent Buddy Farah has been extremely vocal about the 27-year-old’s desire to leave Randers, telling reporters: “Mandla is unhappy in Randers and he has begged Randers management to be allowed to change clubs. Aalborg made an offer a few weeks ago and Mandla saw it as an optimal option – both personally and career-wise.

“But Randers’ leadership has flatly refused to listen to both Aalborg and Mandla, and instead has set a totally unrealistic and ridiculous price tag on him. It’s an amateurish way to run a business.”

Aalborg are said to have offered 2.5-million Danish Krona (R5.2-million), but Randers are holding out for 7.5-million Danish Krona (R15.6-million).

Masango’s contract at Randers comes to an end at the completion of this season.
