Lescott spent a season with the Baggies, scoring one goal in 39 appearances after arriving at the club on a free transfer from Manchester City.
The 33-year-old won the Premier League title twice, the 2011 FA Cup and the League Cup with City last year.
Villa have also recruited 18-year-old goalkeeper Matija Sarkic from Anderlecht.
