Ajax Cape Town's attempts to prevent the promotion playoffs from kicking off failed after South Gauteng High Court judge Denise Fischer ruled in Tshakhuma Tsha Madzhivhandila FC's favour.
Following the PSL arbitration's decision not to deduct points from TTM for breaking the under-23 rule, the Urban Warriors decided to take the legal route.
The Cape Town side finished fourth on the NFD table behind the Limpopo club on goal difference, as both teams ended on 51 points.
Tshakhuma were fined R30 000 for failing to field two under-23 players against TS Sporting in April. Ajax wanted them to be docked three points.
According to a statement from the Venda side, "the court's decision was that this matter be struck off the roll".
TTM have already played their first game of the playoffs, losing 1-0 to Royal Eagles at Chatsworth Stadium in Durban on Wednesday.
"That has been thrown away, it was on Tuesday before we played on Wednesday," club official Livhuwani Madzuhe tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"There was a High Court application by Ajax, and the court proceeded on Tuesday 12 o'clock. Because before they wanted to stop the playoffs, from there the PSL said it won't. They proposed a date for Tuesday before our game and the judge threw away their application."
