PLK City coach: Appollis' goal didn't sit right with me

Coach Phuti Mohafe has reacted to his former player Oswin Appollis scoring against Polokwane City in their MTN8 loss to Orlando Pirates.

Rise and Shine went down 2-0 as goals in the first half from their old boy Oswin Appollis and penalty from Patrick Maswanganyi inflicted the defeat.

With Appollis turning it on against his former club, Mohafe joked that it didn’t sit well with him but nonetheless glad that they taught him well.

“It seemed he got the edge to score against his former teams (laughs) he scored against us," Mohafe told SuperSport TV.

"To me, it’s the movement that I taught him at Polokwane City and he did it perfectly against us and it doesn’t sit well with me how can you make this massive, massive move and you kill me, but it’s fine.

"We taught him well and I think he shows progress as for us we learnt a lot today in this match."

Mohafe also claimed that they are not likely to add any more players in the current transfer window.

“I think we have some signings that we have made and those signings people will see, they are good signings and we usually don’t mention the signings that we are doing. But I think we have signed well, it’s just a matter of the gelling players in what we do. I think we are going to be a better team," he added.

“I don’t think we still have to reinforce because even those who are injured are coming back, and in them coming back the team will be much stronger,” he added.
