Orlando Pirates will enjoy the benefit of spending the rest of the current transfer window with the freedom of stretching their hands outside the borders, unlike both their rivals – Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Pirates have three foreign players on their books at this stage.

Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah is into his fourth season at the club since arriving from Akwa United, while sparks are expected from new Angolan signing Gilberto.
Bucs also have Congolese midfielder Karim Kimvuidi, who is hoping to grow further in his second season.

According to the PSL rules, only five players can be registered with non-South African documentation, which gives Pirates the option of adding another two foreign players.
In contrast, both their biggest rivals have exhausted their foreign quotas.
Chiefs have Fiacre Ntwari (Rwanda), Thatayaone Ditlhokwe (Botswana), Edmilson Dove (Mozambique), Edson Castillo (Venezuela) and Christian Saile Basomboli (DR Congo).
Ditlhokwe is eligible for permanent residence in January, while Dove's injury will determine matters relating to when he gets to be registered.
Sundowns have plenty decisions to make following the return of Bolivian midfielder Erwin Saavedra from his loan at Bolivar.

Saavedra will join Brazilian pair Arthur de Oliviera Sales and Lucas Ribeiro Costa along with Marcelo Allende (Chile), Matias Esquivel (Argentina), Moroccan defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil and Ethiopian striker Abubeker Nasir as the foreign players on the club's books.
The champions must register a maximum of five foreign players.
