The continuation of Jose Riveiro's stay at Orlando Pirates is still a sealed deal as the Spaniard moves towards the end of his contract.
Riveiro has been at Pirates since July 2022 and throughout his time has delivered five trophies and taken the club into the Nedbank Cup semi-finals and CAF Champions League last eight this season.

Through his trophy success, the side has played 120 games with the 49-year-old walking as the club's head coach.
This places him top of the list for the most number of matches played by the Soweto giants under one coach throughout their PSL history.
However, there remains the unsettled matter of his contract at Bucs, where no coach has ever completed three full seasons and then stayed on for the fourth.
Riveiro stated after leaving his previous job at Inter Turku in Finland that there is no need to spend more than three years at the same club.
With three years at Pirates up in June, plenty is hanging in doubt.
This website has spoken to contacts in Spain, Portugal, and Finland about Riveiro, who has been presented as a principled man of his word with a young family.
While chances of work at the high levels in Spain and Portugal are thin, he is in demand in Finland.
KickOff.com has been informed that Inter Turku admire Riveiro.
The Finnish club have been fifth, sixth, and seventh since he left to second (twice) and third (once) throughout his time at the club.
Sergio Almenara, who worked as Riveiro's assistant for two years at Pirates before deciding to leave, has already moved back to Inter Turku, where he is heading the scouting department.
There could be financial matters to consider with the Spaniard's success having upped his value while at Pirates.
"It is always good for a coach to be winning trophies in his job," Jorge Barros, the CEO of MSC Sports Management, tells this publication from Spain.

"I don't work with him, so I don't know what his personal preferences and ambitions (are), but he has been great at Pirates.
"With his contract up, I can only hope the conditions become good for him to stay.
"Being at Pirates was a big opportunity for him because he was only in Finland, which doesn't compare to Spain at all," says Barros.
