Ncikazi's warning: They can be deceiving

Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has sent a warning to his squad ahead of their key Betway Premiership clash against Golden Arrows.

The Soweto giants be aiming to keep the league title race alive with a victory over Arrows when the two teams meet at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday (19:30).

They are 12 points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and, with two matches in hand, are justified in believing they can still pull a miracle with just a handful of matches remaining.

However, Ncikazi is aware that underestimating an equally desperate Abafana Bes'thende outfit would be their downfall.

"Playing Arrows can be very deceiving," Ncikazi told the club's website.

"Their position on the log table is not a reflection of the capacity they have. So, one, we have to be very cautious.

"It is a new coach, very astute, lots of experience. They have also acquired quite a few players from Royal AM, so we don't know exactly what to expect from them. Hence, it is important that we just concentrate on our game.

"[We have to focus on] How we analysed our previous performance. How do we want to improve and how do we want to improve and be better?" said Ncikazi.

Arrows are in 14th position and eager to avoid being sucked into a play-offs spot, whilst also aiming to collect only their second win in five matches.
