The 33-year-old has been at Pirates for three years and is already linked with a move to Sekhukhune United.

His last season with Pirates was disrupted by injury.

"Thank you, Miguel Timm for every tackle, every pass, and every battle fought. Wishing you all the best.

"Once.Always," reads the departure statement from the club.

Long-serving defender Innocent Maela will no longer have a playing contract at the Soweto giants.

Maela has been at Bucs since July 2017 playing 208 games for the side.

The 32-year-old is now expected to take up another role at the club.
