The Buccaneers secured the win in Durban, with Patrick Maswanganyi and Tshegofatso Mabasa securing the goals in the second half.
Kimvuidi, meanwhile, completed the full 90 minutes and was thankful to be back on the pitch.
"I want to thank the coach. For a long time I didn't play, but today they gave me a chance because I was pushing at training," Kimvuidi told SuperSport TV.
"Thank you for them and thank you to my teammates because without them I can't make it.
The Congolese midfielder also had a message for the supporters after Tuesday night's win.
"I know they love me, I love them," he added.
"I say thank you to them for the support, even in the bad moments they are supporting me. They make me work hard everyday, so I really appreciate it."
The Soweto outfit will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final.
