"Tough and difficult to play, for different reasons," Riveiro told SuperSport after the game.
"We struggled a little bit in the first half with the high-pressing from Arrows. I think they did an extra-ordinary effort in the first half. I think the effort in the second half, we were much better.
"We managed to find a different solutions in our build up and due to that, we manage to take the lead and we concede one goal when nothing was really happening on the field at that time, but they show a lot of courage in the last part of the game.
"If you think about the amount of fatigue that they have been accumulating in the season. A lot of players come into the starting eleven for the first time, it's not easy to compete here in this circumstances and I think the team showed we came here to play serious, to get the three points and I'm so happy to see them performing like that."
The likes of Boitumelo Radiopane, Siyabonga Ndlozi and Simphiwe Selepe got some valuable minutes under their belt in the first team.
"Me as a coach, I wouldn't have the capacity to do it if the club is not supporting those kind of decisions. We are together on this," he added.
"The mission of the club is really clear. It's good message, not only for Orlando Pirates players. If you are ready and the time is the correct one, everything is possible.
"The club is doing fantastic in the development and we getting good products, trying to help them to do the last steps in their formation and they are doing fantastic for the team."
