Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro believes the goalless draw with Pyramids FC in the first-leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals is not a bad result.
The Buccaneers were pushed to the edge by the Egyptian big-spenders, who had two goals in either half disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
Riveiro added that it wasn’t a game that should’ve finished score-less as both teams created a lot of chances to score at least a single goal.

All focus now will be on the second-leg next weekend in Cairo, with the Buccaneers banking on the away-goal rule to see them to their third Champions League final.
“I don’t know, the game just finished 30 seconds ago, a lot of emotions, a tough game, control for us, opportunities for them. Not a bad result considering that the goals away from home can be double,” Riveiro told SABC Sport.
“We have a very good game in Egypt if we want to go through. But I’m really proud of the boys, yeah still open,” added the Spaniard.
The result leaves the clash in the overall context wide open, as the Buccaneers extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to nine matches.
“Yeah, but that’s football, opportunities none of us managed to score a goal. So, everything is open for the second-leg 0-0, not a bad game. I think it was not a 0-0 game, probably both teams created enough to score one goal. But one week."
