Former assistant coach at Orlando Pirates, Harris Choeu, says the overriding quality of the club's former administrator Stanley "Screamer" Tshabalala, who passed away this week, was his temerity to tell it as he saw it.
On Thursday, Pirates, together with the Tshabalala family, announced the untimely passing of the legendary former coach and football administrator.
Bra Stan, as he was fondly referred to by all and sundry, succumbed to injuries he had suffered after when he was shot during a burglary at his house back in March.

The ex-Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns mentor will always be remembered for his eye for scouting the right players for the clubs he worked for.
"I learned of Bra Stan's passing through the legends group, and I was so shocked as I didn't expect it," Choeu says, in conversation with this website.
"I know that he had this accident of being shot, and we were excited to hear that he was recovering.
"Stan is unique compared to all the coaches that have coached in this country, he had his ways of doing things," adds 'TV4'.
Furthermore, Choeu says during his playing days at Sundowns, players stuck to Tshabalala like glue off the field, if only for his penchant for telling a good story.
"He never ran out of jokes. He would tell us lots of stories about how things used to be during their time.
"Stan was so brave and very short-tempered at the same time. They are the ones who spotted me and Harold 'Jazzy Queen' Legodi at Witbank Aces.
"He made it possible for us to have the opportunity to play alongside so many good players at Sundowns. "He also brought in two or three players who never played for any team before Sundowns. Players like Rabbie Moripe, who fitted well in the team.

"I think Pirates have lost a lot with his passing because he was still involved with them. He was brave, he would say whatever he thought was right.
"He never beat around the bush, he would tell coaches who were not doing well what they were doing wrong. For the good of the team, he would always be straightforward with you, and in that case Pirates have lost a lot."
