TUT will have to first overcome National First Division strugglers Cape Umoya United in the last-32 of the competition at Athlone Stadium today (15h00).
"As a directorate, we don't want to put you under unnecessary pressure," Nthangeni said to the team on Monday at the unveiling of their new jersey for the Ke Yona showpiece.
"We want to say to you, go and enjoy football. There is no pressure. Don't worry about the win because to us you have already achieved the milestone that has been set before you.
"If it's going to be your day, you are going to score two or three goals and wallop Umoya. We know they ply their trade in the NFD, it's not going to be a walk in the park and hence we don't want to put pressure on you. But we know your capacity and what you are capable of."
Nthangeni believes a game against Chiefs would provide great opportunities for the side, which is coached by former TUT student Stuart Mhlongo.
"If you go the last-16, my wish and prayer is that you can team up with Kaizer Chiefs and wallop them. I am telling you half of the squad will be gone. That is possible with self-belief."
