Steve Komphela warns Golden Arrows ahead of TS Galaxy Nedbank Cup semifinal

Steve Komphela has warned his Golden Arrows players to respect all opponents or they will suffer as they prepare to host TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup semifinals on Saturday.

Komphela believes Galaxy won't be an easy task, and for his side to avoid embarrassment they will have to do everything they can to be professional on the day at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

"Humanity brings success, but the beginning of any man's downfall is arrogance. If Arrows players are not aware of danger, they will suffer," he said.

"We are not favourites, the universe always favours the underdogs, and we have to be very professional and be in a strong mentality.

"Supporters' expectations are always there, you can't control them, and as a coach and team you need to stick to the plan of the process, sell the idea to them and then they will understand what you are building."

On the suspension of Danny Phiri, who has been influential this season, Komphela had a strong message for the officials.

"I think the official who was in charge of our last game is happy that Phiri won't be available, he didn't even give us a penalty. I told him but they don't listen, he was all smiles with no accountability."

Komphela did not want to get ahead of himself and state which team he would prefer to face in the final between Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs.

"Be careful what you wish for, because you might get it. So whoever you get, be ready. Chiefs and Chippa are not small teams, you have to respect them. Let's deal with Galaxy first."
