On Sunday after their loss to SuperSport United, the Arrows coach was asked about Venter's form and whether he has had an impact on his recent performances considering they worked together before at Free State Stars.
Komphela said: "Venter is an intelligent player, I enjoy working with guys who have technical awareness, game intelligence and brains, which is something he possesses.
"He knows and understands my philosophy. The role he plays at the club allows him to create more opportunities for others, he is doing well for himself."
Venter has scored two league goals and been at the centre of Arrows' best attacking moves, especially in recent weeks.
Speaking ahead of Abafana Bes'thende's encounter against Witbank Spurs in the Nedbank Cup on Saturday, Venter added: "Personally I'm happy with my form but I still need to improve and be consistent.
"I must also give credit to the coach, he has played a huge role in my football. I would like to see the club do well this season and also win a trophy, hence we need to do well on Saturday."
