Reeve Frosler could make his Kaizer Chiefs debut against Magic FC

Frosler, along with goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, joined Chiefs on transfer deadline day as the club fought to get the 21-year-old in early after he penned a pre-contract earlier in January.

The former Bidvest Wits defender missed out on the Soweto Derby last weekend, with Middendorp declaring him unfit to feature after he was sidelined at The Clever Boys since the start of the season.

Now, after more two weeks of training at Naturena and trying to catch up to the pace of the rest of the squad, Frosler could finally get his first minutes of the campaign, though the German insisted he will not be tampering with his starting line-up despite the lower tier opposition.

“Reeve will be in the squad, we’ll take him but, as I said before, I’m not juggling around. We’ll take the first XI that we see with the most potential, with not a lot of changes unless I’m forced to,” said Middendorp.

One confirmed change is set to be in the last line of defence, where Bruce Bvuma will replace cup-tied Akpeyi and earn his first appearance since Amakhosi’s 2-2 Absa Premiership draw with Bloemfontein Celtic back in August.

Kick-off at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is scheduled for 15h00.
