Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has explained the reasons behind midfielder Andile Jali's absence during the Nedbank Cup win over Highlands Park on Saturday.
Jali, Themba Zwane and Gaston Sirino missed the match at Makhulong Stadium as Sundowns beat Park 1-0 to advance to the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup, where they will face Bidvest Wits.
Zwane and Sirino missed the game due to injury while 'AJ' is sitting on three yellow cards.

"We rested him because he has three yellow cards," explained Mosimane.
"Last time Mshishi [Themba Zwane] had three yellow cards and I saw the referee refereeing from the centre [line] to go there and there was a corner-kick and he went straight to give Mshishi a yellow.

"I said I am not going to do that again. I have seen this movie before. I said AJ is not playing because we need him against Pirates."
As it turns out, Sundowns' game against Pirates on Tuesday has been postponed along with all local football due to the coronavirus outbreak in South Africa.
