Former Bloemfontein Celtic striker Moses Spandeel is set to become one of the oldest players in the Nedbank Cup tournament this season.
Spandeel, who is set to turn 40 years old in May this year, takes on Jomo Cosmos at Olen Park on Saturday in the colours of Hungry Lions.
But despite age not being on his side, the former Siwelele striker is still active and scoring goals in the ABC Motsepe League in the Northern Cape.

The 39-year-old is set to retire from football at the end of the season but wants to do it in style.
"For me personally, it's not for me, but for the team to come so far to the last 32 it means a lot. There is no team from the Northern Cape that plays in the first division," says Spandeel.
"It's a great opportunity for the youngsters coming up to show their talent and maybe we can get something out of this fixture against Cosmos."
Spandeel has already announced that he will hang up his soccer boots at the end of the season, but he will not be lost to football.

"I am surprised myself [that I'm still playing]," he admits.
"Two years ago I was playing in the ABC Motsepe League and we won the league. I told the owner I want to retire but he didn't want me to go as I am still fast and still run like a young man.
"I told the guys a few months ago that I will call it a day at the end of the season but will still be around the club like coaching and other stuff."
Only Uthongathi striker Siyabonga Nomvethe, 42, can take the record of oldest player in the cup from Spandeel when his side take on Highlands Park on Saturday.
