Letlotlo last month returned to Naturena following a short-term spell at Bakgaga since the start of the season, during which he failed to make a single appearance for the Telkom Knockout champions.
After being tipped for stardom upon his promotion from the Chiefs reserve side in July 2016, the 23-year-old has yet to live up to the promise he showed in the handful of appearances during Steve Komphela’s first season at the helm.
Injuries have also hugely impeded his progress, but Middendorp has noted the neglect Letlotlo faced during his loan spell in Limpopo and feels he is now progressing well.
“I’ve had him now in the team for three weeks – he’s a good player, he’s quick and his finishing is really good,” said Middendorp.
“But everybody knows that on our side he is a player coming from injury and has not really been taken care of over last four or five months.
“At the moment I’m quite impressed with him.”
The Soweto-born centre-forward is not expected to be included in this weekend’s squad to travel to Port Elizabeth, where they face ABC Motsepe League side The Magic FC in a Nedbank Cup clash.
