'It was disgusting' - Dondol coach slams Bucs official

Dondol Stars co-coach Khuliso Rashamuse has slammed an Orlando Pirates official for picking up a water bottle belonging to goalkeeper Sphamandla Gumede during the Nedbank Cup match on Saturday.

Tempers flared when an unidentified Pirates official went behind the Dondol goalposts to remove a water bottle belonging to Gumede at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The Soweto giants went on to beat the ABC Motsepe outfit by 5-4 after a penalty shoot-out.

The scores ended 1-1 after 120 minutes of regulation time before the match was decided on penalties.

"Spha had a water bottle in his goalposts, and it was just pure water. So, the cadre there from Orlando Pirates, I don't know his name went there."It was disgusting.

"You don't do that because it's a game of tempers, we ended up losing our temper and respect," said Rashamuse post-match.

"He relies on it, if he doesn't have a pump, he relies on water, that's why I was angry. He went there and took the water bottle, the game is on and now Spha is focusing on the guy that was doing that, that was totally zero for me."

Dondol Stars will now focus on their league campaign to fight for promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship next season.
