Zuma has seen limited game-time since his arrival at Naturena at the start of the season, having started a mere two games, while totalling less than 500 minutes thus far.
The 22-year-old has scored two crucial goals for Amakhosi this season – in the 1-0 win over Ajax Cape Town in December and the winner in their 2-1 victory over Polokwane City in January – and did so off the bench on both occasions.
This, however, does not faze the former Bloemfontein Celtic attacker, who says the scraps he feeds off is enough to keep him hungry and motivated to prove his worth to the technical team.
“It does help me, just to get those few minutes to prove myself to the coaches and fans as well,” he told reporters.
“Just those few minutes that I came on for also comes as a motivation to me [to keep pushing].”
Meanwhile, Zuma also believes winning their three remaining Absa Premiership matches and lifting the Nedbank Cup could restore the faith amongst the club’s fans.
“We need to win the remaining games, and maybe we’ll have a chance for a CAF spot. Maybe we can win the Nedbank Cup as well,” he concluded.
