Black Leopards coach Dylan Kerr feels teams will be scared to play Lidoda Duvha

Despite being knocked out of the Nedbank Cup on penalties by Bidvest Wits in Thohoyandou on Monday, Kerr was not too disheartened. He feels they were just unlucky to lose, but penalties are about having them, even if you practice taking them leading up to the game.

"You know after the training session we did on Sunday taking penalties, everybody in the squad scored. We had confidence in the players that missed. If I think about the game realistically, there was only one team that wanted to play football, there was only one team that wanted the goals, there was only one team that kept trying you know.

“But you know Gavin took five years in organising the way Wits play, four years at Supersport, five years at Wits you know and it takes time. Imagine if I'm lucky and get three years here, how much possibility can happen for Black Leopards.

"But let's work harder because now lot of teams will be scared to play Black Leopards, not just at Thohoyandou. You know when I came here people said this club was going down, the players weren't good enough, and that I'm making the biggest mistake of my life because of the people involved you know.

“But I didn't listen to them. I did my own research in the two days I was in England before I came, I did my research on the players and staff. Everyday when I go to work, I know what I'm going to get from my players."
