The Students have won their first three games of the year in all competitions, most recently dispatching Moroka Swallows 2-0 in Soweto on Tuesday.
Chiefs, meanwhile, have claimed one victory in three outings in 2015, notably suffering their first League defeat of the season in a 2-0 reverse to SuperSport United earlier this week.
"People are speaking about Chiefs dropping points, we are focusing on ourselves," said Hunt, whose side trail pace-setting Amakhosi by 10 points with 10 matches left.
The ex-Hellenic defender, though, says Wits are currently prioritising their Nedbank Cup opener with Free State Stars at Bidvest Stadium on Saturday night.
"Our priority is our next game against Free State Stars.
"I've been in the Nedbank Cup Final for the past three years and I've only won one," he added, referring to the 2012 triumph with former club SuperSport.
"It's important to stay in the Nedbank Cup in case we don't win the Absa Premiership."
