The Team of Choice bowed out of the MTN8 after losing 1-0 to the Citizens at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday afternon.
The loss means Davids' charges are yet to taste victory in the 2018/19 campaign.
“It was a scrappy affair the pitch was bumpy it didn’t help. Definitely not for the supporters to say they would want to come back again to watch next week,” Davids tol SuperSport TV.
“I think we were a bit naive to concede a set-piece just before halftime. It’s naive to be switched off in the organisational structure. In terms of the set-piece structure that was naive,” he lamented.
Davids went on to say that they will put their focus back to the league.
“We came out [in the second half] and the goalkeeper [Peter Leeuwenburgh] made a couple of saves but we have to focus on the league now. The fight was there but it wasn’t meant to be,” he concluded.
