The newest PSL side travel to the PSL runners-up for their Top 8 last four showdown, with the former Clever Boys mentor under no illusions of the quality his Gauteng opponents possess.
“It’ll be really tough against Wits,” Tinkler is quoted as saying on the PSL’s official website. “They are up there in the running for the title this season. They’ve been there and thereabouts for the last few seasons and I think they will be among the main candidates for the title come the end of the campaign.”
The City coach insists his side will approach the game positively, with the hopes of scoring a crucial away goal in Johannesburg.
“Our aim is just to go into the game with a positive attitude and approach,” he continued. “Most importantly, we want to try to, at least, get an away goal that we can bring down to Cape Town for the second leg, to give us something to defend.”
Kick-off at Bidvest Stadium is set for 20:15.
