The Clever Boys outsmarted both their Soweto opponents, beating the Glamour Boys in their Absa Premiership opener and eliminating the Buccaneers from the MTN8 quarter-finals, within the space of seven days.
They next face Cape Town City, who have also started well by beating Polokwane City in the league before dispatching of Chiefs in the cup, in the MTN8 semi-final first leg at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday.
However, Klate refuses to read too much into both sides' early form, but is wary of the threat posed by his former mentor Eric Tinkler's newly assembled outfit.
"Obviously Cape Town City have been doing well over the first two games of the season, and I know coach Tinkler very well as well," the former Pirates winger told reporters after Wits' training session on Thursday morning.
"I know he is very organised and a very 'to a tee' guy, and they've prepared very well in the short space of time that they've been together. They look like a solid unit.
"It's still very early days, and the fact that both of us have beaten Chiefs doesn't mean anything. It's Cape Town City vs Bidvest Wits and that's all we need to focus on.
"We need to forget about the Chiefs game, and forget about the Pirates game, and focus fully on the upcoming game, which we know is definitely not going to be easy but we've been preparing well over the last two weeks."
The recent FIFA international week would have given both sides ample time to iron out any mistakes or shortcomings in their games, and the 31-year-old attacker admits that despite their early form the time off was utilised by coach Gavin Hunt.
"The international break has given us a bit of time to regroup and see as much as we've done well, you know there's still a lot of areas that we need to improve and that's what we've been working on," he adds.
"We have to just take it one game at a time and focus on the first leg at home this weekend, and the first prize would be not to concede any goals."
