The Absa Premiership teams will contest the first leg of a semi-final at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off at 15h00.
The Chilli Boys, who have earned admirers with their entertaining brand of football, beat Platinum Stars in the quarter-finals, while Sundowns saw off Tshwane rivals SuperSport United.
An open contest is expected in Port Elizabeth as the Brazilians also like to knock the ball around.
"We will not change our style," Malesela told the club's website.
"It is important for us to keep the ball on the ground. These fields (pointing on the ground) were made flat on that purpose. If I had my way the ball will never leave the ground.
"We of course have to switch play and due to that you have to hit a long one. However, we always want to keep the ball on the ground, this is a big part on our style of play."
He added: "It is important that we focus for the entire 90 minutes and beyond. We are playing at home and we must keep things tight at the back."
'Dance' reported no injury concerns for the eagerly anticipated encounter.
