City will host the Brazilians in the first leg of the competition on the weekend of August 25/26, having seen off Maritzburg United with a 1-0 win in the last-eight at Harry Gwala Stadium last Sunday.
Sundowns possess big names in central midfield such as Hlompho Kekana, Tiyani Mabunda, Oupa Manyisa and Andile Jali, but Nodada sees no reason to be intimidated.
"Why not? They've got legs, they have hands just like we do, come on," Nodada said when asked if City could take down Pitso Mosimane's outfit.
"There's 11 players a side. What do you want me to say? You want me to say we are going to lose? Come on."
The industrious Nodada, who was named Man of the Match against Maritzburg, naturally hopes City can ease the disappointment of their loss in the final of the tournament to SuperSport United in 2017.
"This time around we are taking it one step at a time. We are not too excited. We've still got the semi-final to play and once we get past that then we can think about the final.
"Definitely we were disappointed that we lost in the cup final and now we looking at winning it."
Meanwhile, Nodada derived motivation from having family in the stands during the clash with the Team of Choice. He was born in Ixopo in KwaZulu-Natal but raised in Johannesburg.
"This is home for me. This is home for me. Obviously having my family, my grandmother and everybody here to watch me is great motivation," said Nodada.
"And I'm happy that I could pay them by coming off with the Man of the Match [award]."
