City have signed a four-year contract with sports betting platform SportPresa on the eve of their MTN8 quarter-final with Polokwane City at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday (15h00).
The coastal outfit, who are now steered by McCarthy following Eric Tinkler's off-season switch to SuperSport United, are seeking to build on their Telkom Knockout triumph and third-placed finish in their maiden campaign last term.
"First of all congratulations to SportPresa and the chairman for thinking ahead and continuing to make the club grow," said McCarthy.
"And I can assure from the coaching staff and the players, we buy into it."
Bafana Bafana's record marksman with 32 goals insists his men are looking sharp ahead of their season opener.
"I think the fireworks start tomorrow. The guys are definitely ready for the season ahead. With the sponsor now I think it can help us strengthen more and make the players happier and help us achieve our goals.

Beside the high-profile arrival of McCarthy, the Citizens have also added Ayanda Patosi, Teko Modise, Jeitoso, Taariq Fielies and Craig Martin to their roster ahead of 2017/18.
However, they are currrently without injured attackers Aubrey Ngoma and Judas Moseamedi.
