The newly-formed side knocked the AmaKhosi out of the competition in the quarter-final stage of the MTN8 to book their spot in the last four and a date with Gavin Hunt's men.
Manyama has underlined why he believes the clash against Wits may prove tougher, citing the pressure Chiefs faced from fans as a contributing factor in their downfall.
"Obviously it was a great win for the team, but I think games like that are much easier than facing Wits because Chiefs have millions and millions of fans [who put them under pressure] and they must attack for the whole 90 minutes. Luckily because we scored early there were lot of spaces on the field for us," Manyama tells snl24.com/kickoff.
In stark contrast to their previous fixture the City captain beleives that Wits will afford them no such courtesy and space will be at a premium when they meet at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday.
"We are going to face a side that is going to fight for everything, with their lives. For me the hardest team to play against in the PSL is Wits because of all the talent they have in their squad and somehow their coach has instilled a fighting spirit in them, you can tell by the games they have played so far," Manyama said.
When pushed to reveal his side's tactics for the first of two legs against Wits the former Ajax Cape Town man gave very little away but did note, with concern, The Clever Boys' ability to shut up shop if they went ahead.
"Obviously we have got to be cautious and not give away anything because we all know that once they score, then opening them up becomes even harder. But of course we're going to get our chances and we just have to make sure we take them," he said.
