In this edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to the rejuvenated Baroka FC fan Stephen Mogale Dichabe about his long-standing relationship with the Limpopo-based club.
With Dan Malesela at the helm, Bakgakga is currently in position 2 in the Motsepe Foundation Championship log table and looks likely to get promoted this season.
Name of supporter?
"My full name is Stephen Mogale Dichabe. I'm the supporters' coordinator and organiser of the Tembisa branch. I'm known as Mogale. I'm working at Bidvest Protea Coin.
"I'm the one who is always carrying a greenhorn in Stadiums. Originally I'm from Ga-Mphahlele, Morotse."
Club supported?
"I was a big supporter of Kaizer Chiefs up until they started hurting me."
How long supported?
"I've been supporting Baroka since its origin as my home club, at the same time I was a Kaizer Chiefs fan.
"I only became a full-time Baroka fan after their famous win against Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup."
Are you happy with the bosses?
"I'm happy with the chairman Mr. Khurishi Mphahlele, as well as with our team manager and CEO Richard Mashabane.
"They are both doing a very good job for us as supporters."
Are you happy with the coach?
"I don't even know what to say to show my gratitude. Dan Malesela knows how to make players play. He has turned the team around using the very same players that he found there. He is the players' coach."
Are you happy with the players?
"I'm more than happy. I like the way they respect every opponent by taking every game as it comes."
Who do you want them to sign?
"If we can get an experienced striker. The goals it's what we need. I would love to have none other than our former player Gift Motupa.
"I know he's available, I talk to him all the time. He still loves Baroka.
Your message to the team?
"I'm pleading with all our players, including the technical team to continue respecting football. Please take us back to the DStv Premiership, because without Baroka it's not complete."
