Chiefs lodged a protest about former Jomo Cosmos defender Ange Lebahi being improperly registered by the Mpumalanga province club.
Bizana accused Sporting of using more than the required number of foreigners in their match that took place in January.
"They are saying he is a foreigner, the guy has acquired a permanent residence," a source close to the matter tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"They don't understand that once you acquire permanent residence you can register as a non-foreigner. The Mpumalanga club tried to explain to them a long time ago that they are wasting their time, but Chiefs decided to take the matter to the Premier Soccer League anyway accusing Sporting of playing more than three foreigners.
"It was explained to them that the player's card is white, which means he's been registered as a non-foreigner, yet they proceeded with the case."
According to section 34.1 of the NSL Handbook a foreigner is a person who is a foreign national, unless that person has acquired a permanent residence.
Since arriving from Cote d'Ivoire in 2012, the 36-year-old has played for the likes of African Warriors and Cosmos. He joined Sporting in November last year.
"They lodged a protest just because they saw his card written 'Ivorian' which is his nationality."
In a hearing that took place last night, the League decided to dismiss Chiefs' case while Sporting chairman Slungu Thobela confirms to this website that his club was cleared of any wrongdoing.
