Perfect Orbit College under no pressure to perform - 'We're here to have fun'

Orbit College head coach Pogiso Makhoye insists his side are under no pressure to perform as their ambition is to have fun in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this season.

Orbit extended their winning streak to four matches after securing a 3-2 win over Upington City at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday.

Orbit currently lead the standings in the second division after a perfect start to their campaign with four wins from their opening four encounters.

"No, we are here to have fun", insisted Makhoye.

"We have young boys that we are developing, and as much as we develop, we need to teach them how to win and instil that winning mentality.

"We are not under pressure, and as I said, we are here to have fun.

Makhoye incredibly, acts as head coach of the football team without any financial compensation while doubling up as an IT manager at the college.

"I am not paid to coach these young boys. I am getting paid to work as an IT manager, so it's a passion, and also, to give back to these young boys," Makhoye added.

"Football is a calling for me. I am doing it because I love it, and also, I want to help these young boys.

"I have been with this team for the past 10 years, producing players like Saleng. This is also giving me the motivation that what I am doing is good.

"As I am saying, it's not about surviving, it's about my impact on the community and the country."
