Michael Nkambule resurfaces at Junior Khanye's Fak'imali Uzobona FC

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Michael Nkambule is planning a strong comeback to football after resurfacing at Fak'imali Uzobona FC in Daveyton.

Fak'imali Uzobona is the brainchild of former Amakhosi midfielder Junior Khanye in a bid to revive soccer and uplift his community in Daveyton.

Khanye's team recently played their first official game against Farouk Khan's Stars of Africa before hosting a Vaal ex-PSL soccer players team led by former Jomo Cosmos midfielder Bongani Theletsane.

Khanye has confirmed the presence of Nkambule at their training base in Daveyton, where they have started training on an open gravel surface.

"My brother I tell you, Nkambule still has what it takes to play in PSL. The guy is immensely talented. We are trying to bring him and he is very eager to play football again at professional level," Khanye tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"I am talking here about a player that played overseas in France, also Kaizer Chiefs.

"We played a friendly against a team from Vaal led by Bongani Theletsane. We had guys like Lucky Mzizi and Touch Mabaso. We have another boy they call Ngwenya.

"South Africa is going to see a gem with this boy. I am already speaking to some people about him. Theletsane still has it my brother. He is another player that I believe can still play in top-flight football."
