The wayward former under-20 star has been well known for drawing headlines for the wrong reasons for the better part of his football career since he was promoted from United's development structures.
Zongo has also played for Platinum Stars, Bidvest Wits, Jomo Cosmos and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in his soccer career and has now resurfaced at Bizana Pondo Chiefs in the GladAfrica Championship.
Chiefs boss Nkosinathi Mqokiyane has praised Zongo's behaviour since he joined the club a few months ago.
"Zongo has not missed even a single training session since joining our team," Mqokiyane tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"There has never been a report of ill-discipline in the clubhouse. I also go there, watch TV and spend time with the players.
"We are very happy with his contribution in the club and we have no doubt that the platform we have given him will go a long way to resurrecting his soccer career."
Chiefs have recently added striker Lerato Manzini to their playing roster, adding to the acquisitions of Sandile Zuke, Abia Nale, Kyle Davies and Nkosingiphile Phewa.
Clinton Larsen is the new head coach in charge.
