Masehe is believed to be close to hanging up his playing boots for a coaching role at the Bethlehem-based club.
The former PSL side is currently up to sixth on the GladAfrica Championship table after a slow start to the season.
"Well he's a genuine professional, he helps the younger guys along you know, he's a genuine professional," Freese tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"As a senior player he's got to help the youngsters along there. I don't know, I don't know [if he will retire], we haven't decided that, we haven't spoken about it you know. Let's just see what happens as we go along."
Stars are only six points behind league leaders Richards Bay with 12 matches of the season remaining.
