With Mamelodi Sundowns fans anxious over Themba Zwane's availability after he picked up an injury against Orlando Pirates in the MTN8, the latest update is not a particularly pleasing one.
Zwane had to be stretchered off in the early stages of the MTN8 first leg semi-final against Pirates at Orlando on Saturday, with head coach Miguel Cardoso unable to provide much details about the extent of the injury post match.

He had only returned to the green grass recently, towards the end of last season, having recovered from an Achilles tendon injury. Zwane had been on the sidelines since October 2024 when he got injured on Bafana Bafana duty against Congo Brazzaville. .

Cardoso is crossing fingers, though, that the veteran campaigner could return to action sooner than expected.
"Unfortunately, Themba will be out for, I believe, maybe around two months, probably," said Cardoso after the league match against Magesi FC at Seshego Stadium on Wednesday.
