'You need to be brave to sign Mbule'

Mamelodi Sundowns legend Hlompho Kekana has explained why it is going to be a mountain to climb for Sipho Mbule's representatives to find the talented but wayward midfielder a club.

Mbule is set to exit Sundowns after they opted against extending his current deal beyond its expiry at the end of June.

He was also released early from his loan spell by Sekhukhune United following multiple disciplinary issues.

The sequence of events has left the 27-year-old star's career in limbo, with his off-field indiscretions eating away at his ability on the pitch.

Kekana, a former teammate of Mbule at the Tshwane giants, has assured that while it is risky to sign the man fondly known as 'Master Chef', he still has what it takes to deliver.

"You have got to be very brave to sign Sipho now," Kekana said on SABC Sport's Soccer Zone.

"But with the talent alone, you are guaranteed that you are going to enjoy, you are going to win football matches because he is talented like that.
