The kit was designed by Odirile-Thato Twala, a designer based in Pretoria North, whose wonderful creation was voted the winning entry in AmaZulu's kit design competition.
In a statement on Usuthu's official website, the club wrote: "Following our well-received Third Kit Design competition, AmaZulu are pleased to reveal the first look of the new strip ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
"Since the month of May, Usuthu supporters had the golden opportunity to design our Third Kit design for the new season via an exciting competition.
"The kit design competition proved to be a huge hit among our adoring supporters, as seen with the large number of entries to the Primosport website.
"Now though, after the designs were narrowed down to the top five jerseys, you’ve made your opinions heard and chose the exciting black strip with pink detailing.
"With a black base (both shirt and shorts), the new third kit sports a pink illustration/graphic of a lion’s face displayed on the front of the jersey.
"Adding to its sleek design, the black shorts feature the club logo, while the socks showcase the Primo logo on the front."
