The business of player exits at Mamelodi Sundowns continues at a brisk pace through this window as the club cuts down the numbers.
Those already gone either permanently or loan include Rivaldo Coetzee, Lebohang Maboe, Sanele Tshabalala, Kobamelo Kodisang, Thabang Sibanyoni, Sifiso Ngobeni, Lucas Suarez, Rushine de Reuck, Neo Maema, Etiosa Ighodaro, Matis Esquivel, Thembinkosi Lorch, and Sipho Mbule.

Ugandan goalkeeper Ismail Watenga’s situation is still without clarity while Terrence Mashego will be faced with discussions upon his return from the CHAN finals.

Then there is Abubeker Nasir.
Nasir didn’t play any competitive last season while on loan at SuperSport United, where he was de-registered in January due to injury issues.
The Ethiopian has been under contract at Sundowns since January 2022 but then spent six months on loan at Ethiopian Coffee before moving to Chloorkop in July of the same year.
His time at Sundowns has only come with 17 appearances and four goals.
For all the potential that the 25-year-old has shown, the frequency of his injuries has been a worry.
After telling this website that he wants to play football this season, Nasir has started training with University of Pretoria ahead of the start of the Motsepe Foundation Championship season.

Nasir has confirmed he has recovered from his most recent ankle injury.
With his contract at Sundowns still running for another two years, he will be loaned out for the season.
While he has had injury worries last season which prevented him from getting club minutes, Nasir started both World Cup qualifying games for Ethiopia during the March break and scored three goals.
