Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso lamented mistake leading up to Orlando Pirates' equaliser in their MTN8 semi-final first leg on Saturday afternoon.
Sundowns threatened victory after Teboho Mokoena’s first half opener, but the Buccaneers rescued a share of the spoils in the final minutes through Kamogelo Sebelebele.

The match epitomised a lot of moments – one to each team as the Brazilians rued their lapses that allowed the Buccaneers a stalemate ahead of the return-leg next Saturday.
“It was a more emotional match than a rational match and with different moments – one moment one team was up and in other moments other team in control. I think we should’ve had more brain and less emotions at the end of the match,” Cardoso told SuperSport TV.
“But well, it’s not the final knockout match but it’s the first of two and sometimes the players in the ambience didn’t take hold of the moments but it would’ve been important to keep it until the end.
“I already saw the goal we suffered; it’s obviously a mistake we should never do. But some good moments of football, some not so good. We’re in the half and a lot to do,” he continued.
As the likes of Tashreeq Matthews, Arthur Sales, Aubrey Modiba struggled to continue late in the second half and was substituted, it put the team in a delicate situation.
However, too much emotions, heart and less brain in the end bothered the Betway Premiership champions least of all Cardoso.
“We managed it with the resource that we have. I would like to have capacity to put more power in the front, but in such an emotional match it’s important that you put men to play. I think that as I said we had too much heart and a little bit less brain than we needed," he added.
