For all the events happening around Lucas Ribeiro Costa along with Khuliso Mudau, Mamelodi Sundowns have a fair share of influential players back in the team.
Ribeiro Costa has turned to new avenues in seeking a way out of Sundowns which could signal that he might never play for the club again.

Whatever the outcome of the boardroom route that he has taken to leave Chloorkop the relationship is soiled.
Mudau also has contract issues to resolve amid interest from North Africa where he has been offered better terms than what is on at Sundowns.
While all that plays out, Thapelo Morena has been the latest player back following Peter Shalulile who has returned to make history.
Morena made his first appearance on Wednesday in the 2-0 win over Magesi signalling that he will be staying on to complete a decade at Chloorkop.
The 32-year-old was brought in for Bathusi Aubaas just after the hour.
There were pending contract issues between Morena and the club during the off-season.
It was said the club only wanted to trigger the option of a further year while Morena was keen on a new contract.
His previous contract signed in 2020 had been on a five-year deal.

There now appears to have been common ground reached between the two parties paving way for Morena to get back on the field after missing parts of pre-season.
Morena has already played over 300 games for Sundowns since arriving from Bloemfontein Celtic in 2016.
