Decorated Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Andile Jali's son, Lesedi is aiming to follow in his famous father's footsteps after winning big at a recent football award ceremony.
The younger Jali was named the Footballer of the Year at Melpark Primary School's end-of-year award ceremony last week.
The prodigious 12-year-old, who is an avid Orlando Pirates supporter is heading off to Grade 6 next year with his dream to one day study in England and play for Manchester City.
"I feel happy and honoured because I am now being recognised for my talent, Lesedi tells KickOff.
"It's the first time I received an award, and all my friends were happy for me, my mom and dad too.
"I want to become a professional player, finish my schooling in England, while playing for Manchester City and be the best midfielder in the world because I can play great with both feet.
"I also want to play for Bafana Bafana."
Like father like son, Lesedi is a defensive midfielder who is comfortable in handling the ball with both feet.
