Former Nigeria coach offered to Sundowns

The former Nigeria national team head coach has been offered to Mamelodi Sundowns by a local agent.

Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro's name has been forwarded to Chloorkop by Vodia Sports International Management's Gerald Baloyi.

The former Super Eagles coach joins Frenchman Patrice Carteron and former Orlando Pirates head coach Josef Zinnbauer, who are also linked with one of the toughest jobs in South Africa.

Sundowns' decision to part ways with DStv Premiership Coach of the Season Rulani Mokwena has sparked interest from some of the top coaches in African football.

Mokwena only suffered one defeat in the league-winning campaign, which came on the final day against Cape Town City.

Paseiro (64), who holds a UEFA Pro Licence, served as the head coach of Nigeria during the Africa Cup Of Nations finals that were held in Ivory Coast earlier this year.

Masandawana is currently under the guidance of interim coach Manqoba Mnqithi who will be hoping to impress the club management and make the position permanent.
