Formerly known as Bloemfontein Celtic, the iconic green and white team is returning to the top flight — this time under a new name.
Although they were initially said to have considered the name Celtic United, sports broadcaster Robert Marawa revealed via social media that the club will be called Siwelele Football Club.
Marawa provided an exclusive glimpse into Siwelele's new branding, revealing concept sketches of the club’s new gear.
Siwelele, a name that was once Bloemfontein Celtic's nickname, appears to be partnering with Umbro as their kit sponsor.
The club will also unveil a new logo, while Jonsson Workwear is expected to be the front-of-shirt sponsor.
Siwelele’s tracksuits will feature patterned designs, aimed at giving the garments a more authentic look.
