In a statement provided to KickOff, the global sports brand announced that the launch marks the beginning of the “Have a Ball” campaign, which celebrates the freedom, creativity, and joy of simply having the ball at your feet.
The campaign encourages players of all levels to follow their instincts, whether on the streets, in local parks, or on the Premier League stage.
Richard Teyssier, VP of Brand & Marketing at PUMA, emphasised the emotional connection to the game: "A player controls the ball for only 109 seconds on average per match. It’s those moments that count, and we want to inspire magic.”
Will Brass, Premier League Chief Commercial Officer, added: "We’re excited to welcome PUMA as a partner. The new ball will debut during the Premier League Summer Series and will be part of many iconic moments to come.”
The Orbita Ultimate PL features 12 equal panels for optimal balance, enhanced seams for improved aerodynamics, and a soft touch suited to all surfaces and weather conditions.
Off the pitch, PUMA and the Premier League will collaborate on grassroots initiatives such as Premier League Kicks, girls’ football development, and anti-racism campaigns.
The ball will make its official debut on 16 August 2025, during the Premier League’s opening round.
