From a sporting perspective, the Burkina Faso international appears to have made the right decision, as he now has the opportunity to compete in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup against European heavyweights Manchester City and Juventus.
However, the expanded Club World Cup isn’t the only incentive that likely influenced his move from Tanzania to Morocco, with reports suggesting that a lucrative salary played a key role.
Kenyan author and media personality Zachary Oguda has reportedly revealed the financial details of Aziz Ki’s contract.
According to Oguda on X, Wydad paid $1 million (approximately R17 million) to Yanga to secure Aziz Ki’s services.
Oguda, who has over 18,000 followers on X, claims that the skilful winger is set to earn a monthly salary of $40,000 (approximately R700,000).
In addition, the player will reportedly receive a signing-on fee of $300,000 (approximately R5.3 million) in his first year and a further $350,000 (approximately R6.2 million) in his second year.
